As per details available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the protest was led by Chief Minister's adviser Nasir Aslam Wani. The protest started from the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, towards the Lal Chowk. Party leaders and workers took part in the rally while holding placards. Omar Abdullah's sons - Zamir Abdullah and Zahir Abdullah - also joined the march. "This is not just a protest, it is a people's voice. We will not allow violence to dictate our future.
